Make sure you only include the correct facts in your expose!

  1. Sojourner Truth invited 4 friends over for tea to discuss her discontent for not having equality in America.
  2. Elizabeth Stanton used the Declaration of Independence as the framework for writing what she called a "Declaration of Sentiments.​
  3. The Declaration of Sentiments, demanded equality with men before the law, in education and employment.
  4. The Seneca Falls Convention in 1848 convinced the country to pass women's suffrage that same year
  5. Elizabeth Cady Stanton and women like Susan B. Anthony, and Sojourner Truth traveled the country lecturing and organizing for women's equality for forty years.
  6. Susan B Anthony said the following, "I have borne thirteen children, and seen most all sold off to slavery, and when I cried out with my mother's grief, none but Jesus heard me!"
  7. In 1870, Wyoming became the first territory in America to allow women the right to vote.​
  8. In 1913 Alice Paul organized 8,000 marchers, the day before the inauguration of President Woodrow Wilson, and called for a constitutional amendment to allow women the right to vote.​
  9. The 18th Amendment finally granted women suffrage
  10. The election of 1920 had an 8,200 voter increase from 1916
